Hello! This week is dedicated to getting ready for my time in Europe, and saying goodbye to family and friends here in Seattle. Today, I tried packing all of my stuff in a carry-on-size bag, which gives me a good idea of what the actual packing will be like when I get my bag tomorrow. With most everything packed, all my stuff is about 15 pounds! I've never traveled this light before, but I am looking forward to it. On Monday, I met with a UW professor and a librarian about my summer research on stories and how I can search for published content related to my research. My major takeaway is that the work that I'm doing may not exist exactly as I see it, and I will probably have to look at research in multiple disciplines to find everything that is related. I have a better idea of where my work fits in just with the conversations, and I hope I can read a bit more material when I am in Berlin. We are enjoying phenomenal summer weather. Temperatures in the mid to upper 70's with no rain for the past three weeks.
We drove to Bainbridge Island three days ago and had a picnic in Eagledale Park and then toured Bloedel Preserve, 145 acre estate established by the Bloedels in the 1950's. We stayed overnight in Poulsbo and the next day we visited the Godfreys, Greg, Melissa, Sophia, Scarlet, Oliva and Gregory Griesmer. The Griesmers return to Amman, Jordan July 22 for two more years and then they will return to USA permanently.
GrMa said maybe you could become another Rick Steves and have travelogues.
All for now.
Love,

I was in Bamberg until Sunday. I got to see most of the museums, which weren't my favorite, but I also got to get to know the town better and see some theater (which was really cool). I met a family at one of the museums, and the mother invited me other to their place in Regensburg. I got a quick, but very thoughtful tour on Sunday night and Monday morning before heading to Zurich. And now I'm here! I did not go to Berchtesgaden (I believe that's what you're referring to, it's by the mountain Watzmann), but I could go there on the other end of my loop going South from Estonia. There is so much to see!
I am glad that the weather has been so nice in Seattle! Whenever I look, it has always been sunny, and your messages confirms it. Please continue writing, it is great to hear what you are up to. I will try to be consistent with my posts, even if they are short.
Love,
Bryan
