Day Three of Zurich - Let's Do This

You won't believe how much planning is getting done for Growing Up , the musical in the works for this fall. I have also been working quite a bit on adding more sources to my final write-up for my study abroad. I also figured out an Airbnb mishap, etc., etc., etc. And you know what I have not been doing? Actually going into Zurich. So, next step is finish up my write-up, write my last journal entry for my class, and make a few more plans for my trip and next fall. Then, I'm going to go offline for some time to actually take a break. Chow for now!

Zurich

After a nice end to my trip in Bamberg, a quick visit to a very kind family in Regensburg, and a very relaxing train/bus ride to Zurich, I am settled into my Airbnb and have been figuring out lots of stuff for both finishing my course and the musical revue I am co-producing and music directing in the fall. Hopefully, I'll have the band together before school starts, which would be a huge help to my time commitments in the fall. After getting surprised by how expensive restaurants in Zurich are, I had a pleasant experience of going to a supermarket. I got bread, cheese (Swiss, of course), and yogurt all for less than 7 Swiss Francs (about $8). Much better compared to the $30 pasta and soda meal I had last night. That was my one story for the day, and I hope I have more tomorrow. Good night!

Reached Bamberg

I have reached Bamberg, and it is very beautiful. My Airbnb is quiet, clean, and VERY spacious (room to sleep at least 5...). I got to go to a biergarten, explore a really cool playground, and listen to a symphony.

Update on Being Done

So, on my way to Bamberg I got on not one but two wrong trains, but the second wrong train went to the right stop. I had realized earlier that the train ticket I bought was cheap, but also involved staying in a quiet town from 1-4am in the morning. I decided to bail on my train plans, spend the night in Zwichau, and start over again today. So here I am sitting in the lobby of the Best Western in Zwichau until I need to go for my new train to Bamberg. You know how I said I was done with my class? Well, I have some more edits I should do, so I will keep working for now. Here we go! My first train (it was nice... and ICE)

DONE

A quick post to say... except for a one-page journal in two weeks, I am done with my study abroad!!!! Now, off to explore Berlin before I leave in two hours for Bamberg,

Just the write-up to go. Wish me luck! And here's a cat!

Program is Finished (Almost...)

Hello all! I have been awfully quiet on this blog for the last couple weeks, mostly because I've been posting to this blog instead: bryanuw.blogspot.com. That's my blog for the study abroad program I just finished with UW Honors. I learned a ton through the process, especially in the work I did with the primary school Jens-Nydahl-Grundschule. You will see an especially large amount of writing on my other blog by the end of the month because I have a 5-page, single-spaced write-up due then. So with that being said, I am going to take the next couple of days to finish up most of my work for the class. I will be on this blog some more now, to write and let you all know what's going on. :)
